The Animal Game

In our family we play a game we call "The Animal Game" which is like simplified 20 Questions but the answer is always an animal.  One person thinks of an animal and everyone else asks questions to figure out what animal it is.  Recently, Annabelle has wanted to play the animal game more and more in the car.  The first 50 or so times that it was her turn to pick an animal, she chose a pig...every time!

The other day, when she wanted to play, this is how it went:

A: I thought of an animal.
Me: Okay, does it have 4 legs?
A: Yes.
Me: Is it pink?
A: Yes.
Me: Are you a pig?
A: No! I'm a pink Crocodile!

Of course!  I can't even...She cracks me up!

THEN, today in the car with Gigi:
A: I have an animal!
Gigi: Does it have 4 legs?
A: Yes
Gigi: Is it pink?
A: No, it's yellow.
Me to Gigi: Don't be fooled...It could be literally anything.
Gigi: Does it have hair?
A: yes
Gigi:  Hmmm.  I can't think of anything...
A: IT'S A PINK CAR!!

Gigi and I had a good laugh on this one!

And here's some pictures of Annabelle with a certain animal...She loves him so much that she feeds him waaaayyy too many treats and as a result, he passes gas AUDIBLY and STINKILY all night long.

Lemonade Stand

We teamed up with the McCarthy family to have a lemonade stand.  The kids had a blast while the mommas smiled as we melted in the heat.  The kids really got into the selling, marketing and delivering!  Of course, they had to "sample" the product too!  They sold lemonade to the garbage men, a UPS delivery lady, a nurse, a man in a 3 piece suit, lots of moms and kids, and even a couple of familiar dads.

Drive-in Movie

This was a first for all 5 of us! We went to a Drive-in movie last night and we couldn't believe how awesome the weather turned out to be...75 degrees in late July!  Perfect for an outdoor family outing. We loaded up the car with pillows and a quilt and hit the road.  We would definitely do this again!
