Smitten.

We went from being a family of four to a party of 5 on Monday, June 14 at 12:19 pm. At 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 17 inches long, this little bundle named Annabelle Faith has blessed our lives tremendously. We can't stop looking at her, holding her, kissing her, ooohing and aahing. Today at lunch, Barrett and Kyle just wanted to sing to her and blow her kisses instead of eat. We are all smitten.

The boys have been so great with Annabelle and wonderful helpers to me. When Barrett sees that I am about to feed her, he offers to get my water for me. Kyle is very good about being gentle and loving with her. Such sweet brothers.

You can see the love and awe on their faces the day they saw her for the first time. Makes me cry happy tears to look at these. They made pink cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Annabelle.

Why it is necessary for me to shower at the gym

I tried to sneak in a quick shower today while the boys were in living room quietly watching cartoons. When I returned 10 minutes later, this is what I found. Jiffy Corn bread mix (2 boxes) all over the room!



I have been thinking about what I was going to say about this...should I talk about how I decided to take a picture even though I was on the verge of tears? Or maybe I could compare and contrast the THREE vaccuums I used to clean up the mess and which one worked best (Dyson). Or maybe I should ask you moms how you get a quick shower in without needing another one after you've finished cleaning up the mess that was made while you were taking the first one? Since I don't what to say, I'll just let the picture do the talking.
