I look at you so many times and wish that you could stay young forever. It’s not really that I wish that you could stay this age. I want you to grow up and have new life experiences and I so look forward to the next funny or amazing thing you’ll do. You always astonish me with the things you come up with! No, it’s not that I don’t want you to grow up (even though the thought of you going on a date brings me to tears—I have time to work on that). It’s that I want you to always have these youthful qualities that are so wonderful. I hope you never lose your inquisitiveness, your wonder, your gleam in your eye, your ability to forgive in a matter of seconds, your capacity to love truly unconditionally and wholeheartedly, your I-can-do-anything attitude, the way you march to your own little beat.
